Sneak Peak: Louvre

We went the Louvre yesterday and it was beautiful. I was honestly probably more intrigued by the building itself than the paintings. I've been there once before, around 2 years ago, but it's still breathtaking.

I arrived in Paris yesterday and it is every bit as lovely as I remember. Sadly, my french is horrible. I really should have taken more than 1 semester.

The bus stopped by la Tour Eiffel on  the way to the hotel, so we all hopped out and I snapped this shot. I thought this man was just perfect with his stylish suit jacket, his cigar and little dog.

London, Day One

What a crazy day! I walked around town for hours with my huge pack on before finding this cute little hotel. It's very nice and homey and has gorgeous high ceilings. Tomorrow the plan is to just check out, find the Copthorne Tara Hotel, check into there and hopefully meet some people from my class. I'll probably spend some time exploring, but who knows where yet.

London

I'm at the airport right, ready for my flight to London. I'm spending the next month in Europe, exploring the cities of London, Paris, Brussels, Strasbourg, Frankfurt, Prague, and Berlin. Throughout the month I'll be taking a class on "Business and Politics of the European Union". I seriously can't tell you how excited I am. I've been super busy lately and really haven't been thinking about it, but now that I'm here in the airport, waiting on my (3-hour delayed) flight, I'm just itching with enthusiasm.

Travel Day

Today was a long but wonderful day. I spent the majority of it en route from North Carolina heading back home for the summer. First it was on the city bus, then in the airport where I had to run across multiple terminals in order to make my connection. But I'm home now and it's wonderful to see my family.

No details yet, just that it's not Potter-related. No matter what, though, I'm stoked. This woman seriously changed my life.

It was 70degrees here today and GORGEOUS outside. All I could think about is how much I want it to be summer already. Bright colors, loose clothing, and nothing but sunshine. That's what I need right now.

Simple Winter Looks I Love

Big sweaters.

Whether they're holiday themed or just nice and simple, a sweater is a winter necessity. They're cute, comfortable and incredibly simple to put together.

Large, colorful scarves.

I love them. Whenever I'm running late, I tend to wear very simple pieces, or an outfit I've worn before. Adding a great to scarf to either of these, really spices it up a little.

Faux Fur.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm not always brave enough to wear this yet, but I love the way it looks! If I lived in a big city, I'd wear faux fur over every outfit! Being from the country, I tend to feel a little overdressed.

Heeled booties.

Once again, I don't actually own a pair of these, but I think they're great! The reason I don't own a pair is because every time I find some I like, I never have money! This Christmas break, though, I'm going on a hunt! For my first pair I'll probably go for something more simple, like a plainer black pair, but those white lace ones would be killer at any holiday party!
