New York City really is one of my favorite places on earth. One day, I will live there. Hopefully that time will come next summer, after graduation, but we shall see.
Here are some photos from our day in the city. We mostly wandered around in Central Park for hours. We had our luggage with us and were dragging it around, so it was a pleasant way to spend the day. The last two photos are from Strawberry Fields.
Old look of the day. This is what I wore to the airport on my way to NYC (via Maryland) for McFly! Man, it's only been two weeks and I already miss it so much. I am still obsessively watching youtube videos and falling more and more in love with them. haha.
So forever ago I posted about an upcoming D.I.Y. project I wanted to do (see here) and now, four months later, I've finally done it! What do you think of my new skull t-shirt? Paired with my new wedge sneakers from ASOS.
I went to New York City for one night and it was the most wonderfully amazing experience ever. I saw one of my favorite bands (McFly) live after 7 years. Words cannot describe how surreal it was. I fangirl-ed SO HARD.
One thing I've never been very confident about wearing (or skilled at applying) is makeup. I think I need to start trying new things. It's a great way to spice up an outfit. I've always been a huge fan of vibrant lip color, but I never have the balls to wear it out of the confines of my bedroom. Maybe it's finally time?
I lovelovelove this jacket. It's so wonderful that I can't even find words to describe it. It does, however, remind me a lot of Kristen Stewarts dress from the MTV Movie Awards last year. I know her dress was Balmain, maybe this jacket is too?
No, this is not a post about alcohol. I just had a realization today that I am not drinking nearly enough water on a daily basis. I carry a water bottle in my purse or bag with me everyday but I'm constantly moving and working and just generally keeping busy that sometimes I go the whole day without touching it! I can feel the difference and I can see it in my skin, so I need to get back in the habit. Do you ever feel this way? Got any suggestions?
Second rugby practice of the season tonight! It feels so good to be out there again! I love this sport because it's so brutal and intense, yet somehow still manages to be easy-going and fun. And really, who doesn't want to tackle someone to the ground on occasion?
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE summer. In fact I'm always telling people that it's my favorite season. Yet right now, schools back in session, my senior year of college is in full swing, sports are back in gear, work is hard as ever, and it's a lot to handle in this humidity. I hate that I start sweating just walking from work to class. We live in the mountains, so it is an uphill climb, but still. I think I'm ready for it to cool down a little.
Plus, who doesn't love a nice leather jacket or some knee high boots?
Today was crazy stressful. I'm glad it's almost over. On top of work and classes I also tried to organize my closet. It's insane trying to fit so much stuff into a tiny dorm room closet. Now I just have a million hours of homework and then I can sleep.
